CONTEMPORARY

This style of dance has no boundries. Some may view Contemporary Dance as a cross between lyrical, Modern & Ballet, since it touches on various elements of each technique. Contemporary has become more mainstream due to a little show called "So You Think You Can Dance" and can be viewed more on Broadway or Musical Artist tours. It's not just Hip-Hip anymore!

(Students under 18 must be enrolled in Ballet as a prerequisite)

Attire

Females:

No shoes required, dance is performed in bare feet
black leotard
black tights
skirts are optional

Males:

No shoes required, dance is performed in bare feet
black muscle shirt
black jazz pants
